Advanced Light Control AR Coat
Nikon SeeCoat contains the latest in precision light control technology, making the dreams of clearer vision a reality. The newly developed Anti-Reflection coating reduces reflections by using the principle of reflection-cancelling interference. The red colour on the periphery of the lens is cut by 42% providing a more natural look. By increasing the number of layers, SeeCoat improves vision by controlling light at different wavelengths, thus minimizing unwanted glare from fluorescent lighting, computer screens and televisions, while improving tasks such as night driving.

Ultra-Tough hard coat
Nikon SeeCoat uses proprietary and unique technology providing an exceptionally high level of scratch resistance, thus ensuring the clearest possible vision at all times. Based on durability tests (Bayer test), Nikon SeeCoat has proven to be three times more resistant to scratching than a conventionally coated lens.
With the combination of the AR & Top coat layers, Nikon SeeCoat protests lenses from many types of scratches.

Super Hydrophobic coat
Nikon SeeCoat contains a repellent layer resistant to fingerprints and dirt, making it exceptionally easy to clean and keep clean. The Fluorine molecules that repel water and dirt bond strongly to the Anti-reflection coating thanks to advanced new material science. Nikon SeeCoat keeps lenses clean for twice as long as conventional super hydrophobic coatings. Nikon SeeCoat is easier to clean over a long period of time.
